I saw YRYM HT Barbecue Mat on Amazon and I really needed a good barbecue mat for our grill. These are fantastic. They are heavier than I thought they would be, but that is a good thing! They work perfectly, clean up easily and I am so thrilled I got them. So much so that I ordered a set for my daughter! We have had other grill mats and they worked fine, but cleanup was a nightmare. They had to be handwashed and I ended up looking as bad as the grill mat. You just pop the Kona in the dishwasher and it looks just as good as the first time we used it. As long as you pay attention to the directions (no sharp utensils, no direct contact with flame), there's no reason it won't last for years.We have recommended this to a number of our family and friends and they are all as happy as we are with this product.
I have used barbecue mat several times since obtaining it. It works very well with a grill, especially with items you would normally fear going through the grates. It does keep the grill surface clean. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because it is a bit of a pain to clean it after use. I have used these for a couple years and just bought another set. My originals are still in good condition, but I use them so much I needed another set. Perfect for veggies that would fall through grates, or meat that would normally flare up. A relative prepared grilled Bass for us for dinner recently and it was fabulous. When I asked him to show me how he prepared and grilled it he brought out the YRYM HT Grill Mat that prevented the flaky fish from falling through the grill grate. I was amazed! He gave me a few filets of the fish so I had to order these so I could cook the fish at home. I plan to try these myself very soon.
I can't wait to try BBQ grill mat and the YRYM HT grill brush we purchased as well. We saw an advertisement in a newspaper and that's how we got to YRYM HT products! Traps the grease but doesn't isolate the grill marks or heat. Great for veggies, scallops (don’t baste with butter until after 90 secs to avoid uneven char), chicken, burgers. Wipes off with ball of paper towels then wash in soapy water or lay flat on top of dishwasher rack. Easy cleanup and reusable. No signs of separation or defects as some report with other brands. The BBQ grill mat is very useful. I grilled with it last night and it worked well. I was expecting grill marks, but there weren't any on the meat. I put it in the dishwasher and they cleaned up very well.
I have used lots of different grill Matt’s. I grill a lot, and this is the best one I have ever used. It’s great on the grill! But most of all the easiest to clean. The grill mat was a little to big for my webber q1200. However that wasn't a problem, I was able to trim with scissors for a custom fit. They work fantastic. Its a whole new way to cook without burning your food. Delicious chicken thighs and legs with skin on. Burgers come out excellent as well. Perfect fit for 3-4 burner grill. No dripping mess, no flare ups. Avoid getting burned grill items. Definitely recommend after using it. Gave these as a gift to my in-laws. They had some old cracked mats and I figure I get them these to replace the ones they were using. Their old ones were falling apart after 2 years using their grill about 2-3 times a month for just 2 people. We used these new mats to close out the summer BBQ and they worked well. We will wait and see how long these will last.
