I received my YRYM HT BBQ GRILL MAT, trimmed it with a pair of scissors to fit my l'il round gas grill and cooked a pair of the best steaks ever. I was able to keep a little marinade on the steaks while they cooked, which seemed to make them more flavorful. And clean up was SO EASY! Since some marinade had set and burned, it looks a bit messy. A quick swipe with a paper towel easily removed the burned mess...then a quick wash in the sink and I was DONE! Great product! I highly recommend it! Received this as a gift for Father's Day. I've yet to try it but it looks like it will work great for cooking vegetables on my gas grill.
An update: I grilled a tenderloin steak and vegetables on the BBQ grill mat last night. The grill mat made cooking the vegetables very easy compared to wire baskets and/or direct cooking on the grate. The steak cooked beautifully and also had grill marks on it. I highly recommend this product. Also, if you go on the YRYM HT website they have a promotional code for buy 2 get one free here on Amazon. I just ordered three as gifts for my sons. Very happy with results. Now able to grill items that use to be difficult or impossible to grill! These things are great. I have an old, crappy grill and I don't want to spend the money to replace the grates right now. I was using tinfoil but that never worked great. These BBQ grill mats solve that problem. I just fire the grill up, throw the BBQ grill mat on and grill away. I did a bunch of beef tenderloin steaks and they were probably the best I've ever done.
Very impressed with the quality of YRYM HT grill cooking mat. I am amazed by this mat. I cooked vegetables and hamburgers at the same time. Everything cooked great. The grease rolled off and the veggies sizzled. It all browned great and the burgers were juicy. It's just too much fun to grill on. Can't wait to play with my mat and food. Experiments -here I come. What shall I grill next !!! Unbelievable! Don't know how I barbecued all these years without them. Was sceptical to purchase, but after using them, will never bbq without them. Chicken cooks perfect with no sticking to grill as in the past. Mats cool off in minutes and cleaning is ridiculously easy. Friends and family members are all buying these mats.
Have been using grill cooking mat a few times and you get your grill marks! It is nice to not have to scrap the grill all of the time especially when grilling on a week night.
Clean up is a little tricky if you cook something oily on it but original Dawn works pretty good. I have seen similar products in stores and was curious to see how these mats worked. They did and truly exceeded my expectations. First test run was with marinated chicken - I typically use tinfoil to reduce the mess. The chicken cooked evenly, had grill marks and was extremely juicy - with no mess! After dinner I simply take the mat off the grill and wipe the charred remnants into the trash with a wet paper towel. Since purchasing we have grilled multiple things with great results: steak, fish, pizza and veggies.
