YRYM HT Brown Butcher Paper is perfect for holiday smoking. From Thanksgiving through Little Christmas I do a lot of baking. These days where people are conscientious of unnecessary calories, parchment paper cuts out the unwanted calories from greasing the pan. You simply lay the parchment paper on a cookie sheet and there is no need for any spray, or butter. A real bonus to using YRYM HT Brown Butcher Paper is the evenness of my cookies. No longer do I have burnt bottoms or uneven coloring on the bottom of my cookies. I now bake like a pro, turning out nearly perfect cookies every batch! Best is, there is no cleanup; I place all the cookies on to a plate, remove the parchment paper, toss it and my cookie tray is mess free.
I really like the YRYM HT brand of butcher paper roll as it is high quality paper. It is actually the only brand I buy. It is thick, sturdy and very non-stick. I like to use it when I am working with dough on the counter. It makes clean up easy and lets the dough roll easier as it just doesn't stick. I love that I don't have flour stuck like glue on my counters. I can just roll up the parchment paper and toss the mess. Anything that saves time and cleanup is a plus for me!
I'm so glad I got this just in time for the holidays through the Spark Reviewer program as my cookies looked the best they ever have! I use brown butcher paper whenever I bake cookies. I just recently tried using a piece of parchment paper in the pan I baked brownies in. I knew about this trick but never have tried it. I was able to lift the brownies out of the pan. It also made it easier to cut the brownies and the pan stayed clean except for the sides. Using parchment paper also really help keep the cookies from sticking to the cookie sheet.
I didn't realize that there could be different qualities of parchment paper until I tried the Reynolds Genuine Parchment Paper. The parchment has a white grid printed on the paper. This helps to make it easier for us bakers to cut fairly straight the length we need. At first I thought the Reynolds brand was pretty much the same quality as the parchment I've been using. The paper feels about the same in weight as the one I used. However I did find a difference in quality. Read on.
I decided to bake snicker doodle cookies to test the Reynolds Genuine Parchment Paper. It comes in a 36ft x 15 wide roll. I wasn't expecting anything out of the ordinary as far as parchment paper goes. When the cookies were done I waited for the cookies to cool enough for me to take them off the paper. To my surprise there weren't any grease spots on the parchment paper where each cookie was placed. I was totally surprised, out of curiosity I used the same piece of paper and baked another batch on it. Again after the cookies cooled, I took them off the paper. I was pleasantly surprised again that there weren't any grease spots where the cookies were placed. The reason I'm surprised is because I double the recipe for the snicker doodle cookies. It has one cup of shortening and one cup of butter. There's always grease spots on the parchment paper. So no grease spots on the Reynolds brand, Koodles to them! So now I know that not all parchment paper have the same quality. I definitely would recommend the this product.
